Saw has a long history of origin and development in China. The earliest saw appeared in the Stone Age and was made of stone. In Shang Dynasty and Western Zhou Dynasty, saw made of bronze appeared one after another, which has a history of more than 3000 years. Saw is an indispensable tool for people's life and production. Saw is also the teeth of modern industry. Its appearance accelerates the pace of human progress and promotes the development of high-tech industry.
After the German invented the first circular saw blade in the world in 1953, Europe became the main production base of circular saw blade, alloy saw blade and diamond saw blade. They occupied a large share of the high-end market and dominated the development of the world saw industry. High-grade circular saw blades are mainly produced in Germany, Japan, Italy and other countries. Due to backward production technology and equipment, other developing countries produce mainly middle and low-grade products. With the development of industrialization, the manufacturing of saw blades in developed countries has developed rapidly, especially the mechanical saw blades are in the forefront of the world. China's modern sawing industry started relatively late in scale production. In the early 1950s, woodworking circular saw blade manufacturers began to appear in China. At that time, saw blades were not alloyed, mainly used in forestry and wood processing industry. The production technology and scale could not be compared with those of developed countries. Because of specific social reasons, China's saw industry developed very slowly in that era, the technical team did not grow, and the production level could not be improved. At that time, China's saw industry was a low level of repetitive production, so that China's saw blade market was almost occupied by imported products, especially alloy saw blades relying on imports for a long time.
After the reform and opening-up, the world saw blade manufacturing industry began to shift to Asia. By the mid-1990s, China saw industry has also embarked on a rapid development path due to the vigorous development of collective economy and private economy. The annual development rate of the whole industry is about 30%. Products have also developed from a single woodworking saw blade to a multi-purpose, multi-functional, multi-series, multi-variety saw blade system, such as cemented carbide saw blade, diamond saw blade, garden saw blade and so on, playing an important role in construction, agriculture, gardens, architecture and life. After 30 years of reform and opening up, many domestic industries such as furniture, aluminium products, building materials, plastics and electronics have come to the forefront of the world, which brings a historic opportunity to the sawing industry. In addition to satisfying the growing domestic market, a considerable part of China's saw products are exported to the international market and the matching market of electric tools. After 30 years of hard work, China's sawing industry has developed from a thin foundation, backward technology and low output to the largest country in the world. China has become the largest production base of alloy saw blades and diamond saw blades in the world.
Over the past years, China's saw blade production enterprises have formed gathering areas in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Guangdong, Hebei, Hubei and Shandong provinces and cities, and a number of "production bases" and "hardware towns" have emerged one after another. After more than 20 years of development, there are now 79 enterprises producing saw blades in Yangyang, Jiangsu. In 2006, Danyang produced 50 million saw blades of all kinds, accounting for 1/3 of the total production of saw blades in China. The total sales reached nearly 1.5 billion yuan. Danyang has become the largest production base of medium and low-grade saw blades in China, and a number of excellent small and medium-sized enterprises have emerged. 。 Yongkang is a well-known hardware capital in China. Hardware industry is the pillar industry of Yongkang. There are more than 10,000 hardware and machinery enterprises in the city. The products cover more than 10,000 kinds of machinery and hardware, decoration hardware, building hardware, tool hardware and so on. Among them, saw blades account for one third of the total export of China. Commodity radiation in China and Russia, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Japan and more than 50 countries and regions.
Technological progress and the emergence of new technologies have promoted the development of China's sawing industry. In 1961, the first ruby laser in China was successfully developed. In a few years, laser technology developed rapidly and produced a number of advanced achievements. Various types of solid, gas, semiconductor and chemical lasers have been successfully developed. At the same time, as a new light source with high brightness, high directivity, high quality and other excellent characteristics, laser is quickly applied in various technical fields, showing strong vitality and competitiveness. Since the reform and opening up, laser technology has gained unprecedented opportunities for development. Over the past 30 years, great achievements have been made in the research and development of high-power lasers in China. The laser power has reached and exceeded 10,000 W level. More than a dozen application processes have been formed, such as laser welding, cutting, drilling, surface treatment, cladding, rapid prototyping, direct prototyping, photolithography and so on. Aerospace, machinery, metallurgy, railways, ships and other industrial fields are widely used. Laser is more and more widely used in cutting matrix, surface polishing, tool head welding, muffler slot cutting and other aspects in saw blade production. Its cutting accuracy and welding fastness are incomparable with traditional technology, which greatly improves product quality and production efficiency. At present, welding technology mainly includes hot welding, high frequency welding and laser welding. Laser welding technology is the basic standard of welding processing for the export of saw blade industry.
Since the introduction of cemented carbide as an important tool material and structural material in 1923, it has a history of more than 80 years. In the late 1960s, Krupp Company of West Germany succeeded in developing coated cemented carbide. Its appearance is a significant progress in cemented carbide production technology. This method of chemical vapor deposition is used to coat ordinary cemented carbide blades with a thin layer of hard compounds (such as TiC, TiN, etc.) to obtain coated knives.
